Photopolymer-based stratified volume holographic optical elements.
We report the implementation of stratified volume holographic optical elements (SVHOE's) using DuPont's Omnidex holographic photopolymer material and an in situ exposure technique for simultaneous multilayer grating recording. Experimental measurement of the +1-order angular sensitivity of a seven-layer SVHOE structure shows remarkable agreement with both theory and numerical simulation for inc...
متن کاملDemonstration of a curved sidewall grating demultiplexer on silicon.
We experimentally demonstrate a new type of waveguide multiplexer device designed for silicon photonics, with a crosstalk level as low as -35 dB and an operational wavelength range of 300 nm. A compact device footprint of only 100 × 160 µm2 offers an excellent potential for integration with other silicon nanophotonic circuits.
متن کاملHybrid Integrated Optics in Volume Holographic Photopolymer
Traditional planar lightwave circuits fabricated from lithographically-patterned waveguides in glasses, semi-conductors or polymers cannot accommodate the wide range of materials required by typical optical devices. In addition, such waveguides are nearly always defined in the material surface and thus can support only a limited density of interconnects and suffer poor performance at waveguide ...
متن کاملHolographic applications based on photopolymer materials
Photopolymer materials are widely used in many holographic applications because of their advantages. This paper reviews the various holographic applications which either require the high index modulation including optical demultiplexer, color-display filter, and polarization-selective element, or need the stability and long life such as holographic memory and security card system.
متن کاملPolarization of holographic grating diffraction. II. Experiment.
The transmittance, ellipsometric parameters, and depolarization of transmission, diffraction, and reflection of two volume holographic gratings (VHGs) are measured at a wavelength of 632.8 nm. The measured data are in good agreement with the theoretical simulated results, which demonstrated the correlation between the diffraction strength and the polarization properties of a VHG. Vector electro...
